A 3-step tracing worksheet for kids showing how to draw a farm hen
Follow the dots and help this happy hen come to life

Step 1: A Big, Fuzzy Bean

First, we draw the hen’s body. It looks like a big, round bean or a cozy pillow!
Just follow the dotted lines to make the shape. It’s a bit like the round body of our friendly elephant, but smaller and extra fluffy!

Step 2: Add the Crown and Wings

Every hen needs a pretty crown on top! We call this a "comb." It looks like three little hills.
Next, add her beak, a round eye, and a little wing. Don’t forget her tiny feet so she can walk around the farm! If you can draw sweet sprinkles on a donut, you can draw these tiny details easily.

Step 3: All Finished!

Now, trace the whole picture. Your hen is all ready to cluck and play! You are doing a wonderful job with your tracing.

Make it Colorful! 🎨

What color is your hen?

  • Classic Hen: Use a bright red for her crown and brown or orange for her feathers.
  • Rainbow Hen: Maybe she has feathers in every color of the rainbow!
  • Farm Friends: Why not draw a jumping dolphin or a yummy ice cream treat next to her for fun?
